Head Coach @ Asia Founder CoachingGrowing ASEAN economies, is it time to expand from your European base?
The European Commission recently predicted the EU’s economic growth for the next 2 years at less than 1.5%, shrinking to 1.2% by 2027 - a decline from 2%-2.5% at the turn of the century – and with more sluggish growth for the following few years. Meanwhile, even with China’s economy slowdown and regional COVID hangovers, growth targets for the ASEAN-6 nations* are overwhelmingly bullish. ABN-AMRO and others are predicting this region’s economies to grow 4.9% in 2023 and 5.2% in 2024. In this session we’ll explore and compare the economic engine rooms of the EU and ASEAN and look at various economic drivers and opportunities, including population, economic policies, environmental factors and more.

Senior Mobile Consultant @ ThoughtworksAccessibility: Building an inclusive digital world
In the UK, businesses lose millions of revenue due to having an inaccessible digital product that cannot be used by people with disabilities. This is true for a lot of products in the world although some do try to develop accessible products out of legal compliance. However, accessibility should not be an afterthought that is done just to comply with laws. Instead product craftsmen have to realise that we cannot have an inclusive digital product without thinking about accessibility from the beginning. This talk will bring you into the perspective of people with disabilities, and address how we as a tech industry can build a more responsible & inclusive digital world for the future.

AI ArchitectScaling Intelligence: Orchestrating Large Language Model Inference with Kubernetes
In the dynamic landscape of AI/ML, deploying and orchestrating large open-source inference models on Kubernetes has become paramount. This talk delves into the intricacies of automating the deployment of heavyweight models like Falcon and Llama 2, leveraging Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) to seamlessly manage large model files through container images. The deployment is streamlined with an HTTP server facilitating inference calls using the model library. This session will explore the elimination of the manual tuning of deployment parameters to fit GPU hardware by providing preset configurations. Learn how to auto-provision GPU nodes based on specific model requirements, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. We'll discuss empowering users to deploy their containerized models effortlessly by allowing them to provide a pod template in the inference field of the workspace custom resource. The controller, in turn, dynamically creates deployment workloads utilizing all provisioned GPU nodes. In this talk we will cover the possibilities of a robust, scalable, and user-friendly system for orchestrating AI/ML inference on Kubernetes, making large language model deployment a seamless and efficient process for both novices and experts alike.
